The team behind one of Netflix's most-watched series ever is getting the band back together. The His & Hers creative team is developing Alice Feeney's next book, Twist, as a series with Fifth Season, with William Oldroyd returning to write and direct.
Twist is described as a thriller about love, marriage, murder and revenge. It follows a flight attendant living a double life with two different husbands, until a murder shatters everything. The novel publishes in February 2027 through Macmillan.
His & Hers, starring Tessa Thompson and Jon Bernthal, premiered on Netflix in January 2026 and became a genuine phenomenon. "The incredible success of His & Hers demonstrated what this group can accomplish together," said Fifth Season's head of TV creative Noah Greenshner. Feeney added: "Having had such a wonderful experience with His & Hers, it was a very easy decision to get the band back together for Twist. It feels like a dream come true."
